Living in an old French farmhouse has allowed me to create a dedicated studio /workshop space. Where I regularly run textile related workshops , we gather and work together to create a varied response to different starting points.
The peaceful rural environment of Ramon is a special place to work .

My knowledge of natural dyeing and hand stitching has increased since I took my first workshop with Ann Stephens five years ago. She has taught me how to use walnut dye, solar dyeing and rusting techniques, which I have now have explored further. I had a wonderful day at Ann Stephens' workshop at Ramon, surrounded by lovely countryside and Ann's inspirational work. From her very clear instructions, I learnt how to do English paper pieced patchwork without the papers - which was a revelation! Also ribbon embroidery, which I had always shied away from. I have been sewing and crafting for many, many years, but this shows we are never too old to learn and there could not be a better place to do so!
